Accused person
A person charged with a criminal offence.
Adjourn
To move the date of a court hearing; to close the court; to resume at a later date or time.
Affected person
The person(s) seeking protection for themselves or their property by an intervention order.
Affidavit
A written statement made on oath, given instead of verbal evidence.
Affirmation
A declaration made instead of taking an oath.
Applicant
A person seeking a court order.
Arbitration
A hearing of civil disputes under $10,000.
