Veronica Nelson coronial recommendations

Earlier this week, the Coroner released findings into the death of Veronica Nelson in January 2020. The Magistrates’ Court of Victoria accepts the recommendations related to the court and is committed to working towards implementation. We acknowledge the pain that Veronica’s passing has caused her family and community and offer our sincere condolences. 

MCV is committed to improving justice outcomes for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, and we will continue to work closely with community and stakeholders to deliver on that commitment.
