Hearing arrangements for Castlemaine court users
The Castlemaine Court building is currently undergoing essential accessibility upgrade work and will be closed until mid-2024.
During this time, the Castlemaine Magistrates’ Court will operate from the Bendigo Magistrates’ Court, located at 188 Hargreaves Street, Bendigo.
Attendances have been arranged as follows:
If you have a criminal matter listed at Castlemaine, you can:
- speak to your lawyer, if you have one, to determine how you will appear at court.
- attend in person, on your court date, at Bendigo Magistrates’ Court, located at 188 Hargreaves Street, Bendigo. If you are attending in person, your lawyer will also need to attend in person.
- link into your hearing via WebEx. You can find the WebEx link for Castlemaine Court published 48 hours prior to each hearing date here.
The Magistrates’ Court is operating under Practice Direction 6 of 2022.
